The police, the Prosecutor's Office and the court are obliged to explain you your rights, which is why usually you as a victim should not need separate legal aid, but if you still feel that you need additional legal aid for preparing your claims, it is possible to get a representative. The less privileged victims may apply for state aid through the court.
The application for state legal aid is available here, but you can also get it from every courthouse and law firm. Law firms provide free legal assistance on questions relating to state legal aid.
Online legal aid is also available here. This website helps you to find answers to everyday legal matters as well as provides samples of document forms. We recommend starting to look for answers to your questions under the questions and answers section. If you do not find an answer there, you may ask your question in a forum, where it will be answered by the lawyers of the Estonian Lawyers Association.
