Rights and obligations
Each and every one of us may fall victim to crime. As an injured party, you are entitled to dignified and respectful treatment.
As an injured party, you have the right to:
have a legal representative during criminal proceedings; contest a refusal to commence or termination of criminal proceedings; file a civil action through the police or the Prosecutor's Office for the compensation of his/her damage; submit evidence, requests and complaints; examine the record of interrogation and give statements on the interrogation and the report; examine the materials of the criminal file after the determination of preliminary proceedings; participate in the court hearing; give consent to the application of settlement proceedings or to refuse to give such consent, to present an opinion concerning the charges and punishment and the damage set out in the charges and the civil action;
give consent to the application of temporary restraining order and request application of restraining order.
